Meredith, a New York native recently
moved to the South Florida area and is extremely excited to be a part of the
Kol Tikvah family. Meredith spent her high school career as an active
member of her synagogue youth group serving as a grade representative,
Publicity Vice President, Programming Vice President and President as a
senior in high school.
In 2000, Meredith was chosen for her
enthusiasm and proven leadership ability as one of six Jewish teenagers from
the New York area to participate in an interfaith understanding trip to
Israel with six Catholic teenagers, a Rabbi and a Priest. Meredith spent her
summers at Eisner Camp in the Berkshires and also was an active member of
NFTY Long Island.
Upon completing her Bachelor’s degree
from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2005, Meredith moved to New
York City to pursue a career in event planning. She worked for over three
years for a prestigious Manhattan catering firm. After realizing her
passion for Judaism and Jewish Youth, Meredith helped to organize and advise
retreats for a Synagogue in New Jersey. It was while doing this that she
decided to take some time away from the event planning world, spend a month
in Israel and explore her passion for Judaism.
Meredith is currently working on her
applications for Master’s degree programs and looks forward to being a part
of the Kol Tikvah community.
