Megan Usow, our Director of Youth and Family Programming
always feels privileged to be able to teach families how create Jewish
experiences.
Megan grew up in Boca Raton and attended The High School
at Donna Klein Jewish Academy. After a year at Pace University in New York
City, she completed her bachelor’s degree with a major in English from
Florida Atlantic University.
Megan has over ten years of experience working with Jewish
youth in South Florida. Just recently, she was a part of the Jewish Teen
Initiative at the Jewish Federation in West Palm Beach where she worked as a
Youth Director and Program Coordinator. She is thrilled to be able to use
her experiences as a Youth Director, teacher, songleader and friend to
encourage all of the families at Kol Tikvah to find a meaningful connection
to Judasim as part of Congregation Kol Tikvah’s
Kehillah Kedosha, holy community.
The book of Mishlei (Proverbs) tells us that we
should “teach a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will
not depart from it”. Megan’s
goal as the Director of Youth and Family Programming is to plant the seeds
that will help our children and families learn about and appreciate his or
her role in the Jewish world.
Together, we can teach our children to be strong and responsible Jewish
leaders.
